I am delighted to pass on my experience of a restaurant I visited 3 of the 7 nights I stayed in the fylde for the Lytham open this summer. La Fontana raised itself above its already outstanding reputation and surpassed my expectations of a local Blackpool restaurant.
From the moment I stepped off the cold street for the first time I was welcomed by the owner, overflowing with the same genuine-Italian hospitality and enthusiasm I would expect in the heart of Venice. After a drink at the modern bar we were given the choice of a table in the centre of the restaurant in front of the traditional fountain or in a slightly more private booth. The bar staff and waiters were nearly all Italian accompanied by a fantastic selection of music from their homeland made for a fantastic, real dining experience.
The extended menu was exciting, the food was impeccably presented and my meals each time I dined were "molto delizioso!!"
I can only encourage any visitors to the area to eat here as it is an absolute gem, La Fontana is the only restaurant I would return to in the Blackpool, far more homely than that the franchises close by and much more genuine and welcoming than the other local restaurants on the road that we visited that week.

Our party consisted of 4 adults and a 18 month old child, and the guys could not have been more helpful. the food was very good and the price was very reasonable. What more could you want.

I jest not when i say this, this place is fantastic. We were on holiday and found it by chance. From the outside, it looks ok, but as soon as we entered, we were impressed. We were well looked after by the staff, not rushed, and our food was stunning. We mixed our choices, our son ate from the early bird menu, whilst my wife and myself ate from the a la cart menu. (i had the best pepper sauce with my chicken ive ever had in the UK) we had 7 courses between the 3 of us, a litre of wine, and 2 soft drinks, and the bill was just under £60, (we chose to add a 18% tip on to this as a reflection of the meal/service. On our return to blackpool, we will most definately eat here again. Top marks to La Fontana

We visited whilst on holiday in Blackpool. Plenty to choose from on the menu and the staff were friendly and attentive. The four of us had 2 courses each with a couple of rounds of drinks - only £52 + tip. Excellent value I think.

This was our 3rd visit to this lovely little restaurant. Good value, friendly staff. I had the best pizza I have had for ages. All 4 of us had 3 courses and drinks for under £90. Only downside is that toilets are upstairs which make it difficult for the elderly or disabled.

Chose this restaurant after reading reviews on here and it was a fab choice. We had our girls with us 7 & 4 and they were made a fuss of, it was lovely. Food was beautiful and perona on draft was lush ;) service was excellent and overall I would definitely go back or recommend to others.

Been a number of times. Always clean and tidy. Staff are always friendly. Food is fantastic and the prices are fair for the portion size. My only complaint would be to widen the menu a little. Lots of pasta dishes but not many with meat in. Other then that, Lovely.

We visited on a Sunday evening and took advantage of the early evening special two course menu. The place was quite busy and we arrived just after 6pm with a date at the theatre at 7.30pm. They told us we would have plenty of time and thanks to excellent service this turned out to be correct. The choice is limited on the special menu as you would expect but we both found things we enjoyed. I had the seafood pizza after ascertaing that they would omit the squid as I am not a great lover. It was tasty and filling. I was impressed with the service and the advice from the waiter especially about the wine. We had a half carafe of house red and it was lovley. The bill came to £28+ for us both and was a good experience.
